After 10 years working in telecommunications and network installation, Ian O'Brien made the move that a lot of skilled tradespeople think about but rarely act on - he started his own business. In 2021, I/O Tech was founded in Brockville, built on a decade of hands-on field experience and Ian's conviction that local businesses deserve reliable, professionally installed network infrastructure.

What Ian loves most about the work is the variety. No two installations are exactly alike, no two buildings are the same, and that keeps every job interesting. Whether he is running structured cabling through a new office build, setting up a commercial WiFi network, or installing a security camera system for a local business, Ian brings the same precision and attention to detail to every site.

Ian joined the Brockville Business Network in 2025 and has quickly become a trusted resource for local business owners and contractors who need reliable network infrastructure they can count on.

Ian is one of 25 Brockville business owners who show up every Thursday morning to support each other, share referrals, and grow together. Every member in the room is a potential client, a referral partner, or a resource for your business.
