1 - Is breakfast really free?
Yes. Your first two Thursday morning breakfasts are completely FREE and include breakfast. There is no obligation to join, and no one will pressure you.
2 - What time do meetings start and how long do they run?
Meetings start at 7:05 AM every Thursday at The Homestead Restaurant in Brockville. The meeting adjourns at 8:15 AM - you are out the door in time to start your workday.
3 - What happens at a typical meeting?
Members gather, enjoy breakfast, and take turns doing brief business updates. There is time to share referrals, introduce guests, and connect informally before and after the formal part of the meeting.
4 - What if my business category is already taken?
Don't worry if your desired business category is currently occupied. We still encourage you to attend breakfast to check out the group and to explore alternative categories or discuss potential opportunities with existing members. Alternatively, you're welcome to join our mailing list to receive timely notifications about available categories and upcoming group activities. Complete the registration form, and we look forward to welcoming you at breakfast.
5 - Do I have to attend every meeting?
Regular attendance is what makes the referral model work. Members are expected to show up consistently or find another member to represent them in the group, if unable to attend. If you know you cannot commit to regular weekly Thursday mornings, BBN may not be the right fit right now and that is okay.
6 - How do I apply for membership after my two free breakfasts?
If you decide BBN is a fit after your free visits, our membership coordinator will walk you through the application process. Membership is reviewed by all group members to ensure it works for both you and the group.
7 - Is this only for certain types of businesses?
BBN welcomes any local Brockville or Leeds Grenville area business. We have members in trades, professional services, retail, health and wellness, financial services, and more. If you serve local clients and want to grow through referrals, you likely belong here.
